The Ferrari F12 berlinetta is a front mid-engine, rear-wheel-drive grand tourer produced by Italian sports car manufacturer Ferrari. The F12 berlinetta, debuted at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show, replaces the 599 series grand tourers. This car was named "The Supercar of the Year 2012" by car magazine Top Gear. This is also one of the most exotic cars today.
This Ferrari model is Hot Wheels Elite, so it is highly detailed and accurate. The overall look is simply stunning. This model nearly reaches the quality of Auto Art signature series and at least as good as Kyosho high end models.
The F12 Berlinetta makes use of aerodynamic techniques based on Ferrari's 599 XX and Formula One programmes, developed with wind tunnel and CFD testing. A notable feature is the Aero Bridge, an air channel running from the bonnet, through the flanks and along the sides of the vehicle, creating an effect that increases downforce.
The hood can be opened to reveal the naturally aspirated 6.3 litre Ferrari V12 engine. This engine has won the International Engine of the Year Awards 2013 in the Best Performance category and Best Engine above 4.0 litres
The engine is made of plastic, but there are some metal decals. For example, the oil cap here is made of metal and emboss with Ferrari words on it.
There are some very tiny parts. They are so small that you can't see them clearly with the normal eyes. I have to use a special magnification lens for those. Now you can see the tiny logo on the engine. This logo's size is only 5mm x 3mm
The front of the model is accurate and beautiful. There is a metal Ferrari logo. And you can see the complex radiator system behind it.
Here we can see the Pininfarina logo, which is an Italian car design firm, employed by Ferrari in F12 designing process.
The back trunk can be opened. It is carpeted with flock like any other high quality car models.
On the back of the car, There are many beautiful details such as metal Ferrari decals, realistic back lights and radiators. The exhausted pipes are made of plastic, but still look good.
The chassis of the model is very simple and mostly made of plastic.
The doors are opened very easily. The doors' glasses are not fully up as other models from Auto Art or Kyosho. They are only half way up
Look at this, you can see the car door's lock, which is not bigger than a tip of a toothpick.
The detail of the interior is excellent. It is carpeted of course. There is Ferrari aluminum decor on the door sill. You can see the detail of the steering wheel, the chrome plated pedals and the left panel.
And this is the extreme of detail: the super small engine start button!
The main panel and the seats are very well done. There is a berlinetta logo on the right board
To summary, this is an outstanding model. In fact, it is the best model of Ferrari F12 Berlinetta you can get now. So don't hesitate to buy one if you really like Ferrari F12.
